Note To Consumers:
Govee is currently experiencing quality control issues that have led to a few cases of burnt up controllers, power supplies, and lights. While their warranty usually covers these issues, they will still lead to increased repair/replacement costs. We’ve sent feedback to Govee and we’re waiting for an update from the company. For the moment, we do not recommend Govee products without thorough research into the product and its potential failures. We will not currently warranty Govee installations as a result.
If you’re looking for a cost effective solution to permanent lighting, Govee products may be the way to go for you.
Govee Permanent, Govee Permanent 2, Govee Elite, and Govee Pro permanent lighting products offer the following:
-A shorter lifespan of around 1-5 years.
-Bluetooth enabled control app on your phone, making changes to your lights is as easy as connecting to a speaker.
-Custom 3D printed brackets, so you can ditch the adhesive backers on the lights and screw them directly to the soffit for a more secure mounting solution.
Govee installations may be a good choice for consumers who fit the following criteria:
-Low or easy to access roofline (ranch homes, simple two story homes)
-Permanent on a budget (prices start at $1000-$1500 including material)
- Temporary tenancy (renters, planning to sell soon, etc…)
If your home has any tall and/or difficult to access rooflines, or any complex roofline angles, we encourage you to take a look at our Commercial Grade Permanent lighting solutions. Maintenance costs for Govee past 5 years (especially on difficult installations) can match or exceed the up front cost of a commercial grade installation, so in your case a commercial install may be the better investment. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out at 779-227-4984, we’re always happy to provide guidance.
